Emotionalism, by the Avett Brothers I discovered the Avett Brothers while browsing in one of those iconic hippie shops in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district. The album was playing on the store's sound system, and I was instantly smitten. It is impossible not to grin while listening to this infectiously upbeat blend of folk, rock and bluegrass, all played on acoustic instruments and with whimsical, witty lyrics to boot.

I've lived in Charlotte 4 years and didn't know of them until someone told me they had them perform for their wedding a few years ago and their pic was on the wall of their LR. Then I listen to talk radio and all he did was talk about them and play a record Go to Sleep at the end of his show which I didn't like. Months later I checked them out and now I am addicted. Still haven't seen them live would like to see them NYE in Asheville but no one to go with.
