Ramseur Records Vimeo Channel!

In case you haven't seen it already, we wanted to let you know about the brand new Ramseur Records vimeo channel, here:

http://vimeo.com/channels/ramseurrecords

We got some new recording equipment, so we'll be using it and sharing the output. Make sure to subscribe or check back often, as we've got a lot of stuff waiting to be uploaded and will be taping and posting more and more stuff by all of our artists as time goes by.

And here's a little statement from Dolph on the microphone used to record all this stuff:

"These videos were filmed and recorded at the Ramseur Records headquarters over the past week. Mr. Joseph Grado handmade the microphone (Joseph Grado Signature Holographic Recording Instrument Microphone) that is being used. He built this a few months ago for Ramseur Records. Mr. Grado is 85 years young. He is a legend in the hi-fi audio world. He is renowned for his phono cartridges and headphones. By the time Joseph Grado ended his working career he held the rights to forty-eight patents and had been inducted into the Audio Hall of Fame. We are glad he is still out making a difference in the world of audio."

So, enjoy!

The Avett Brothers in Time Magazine!

John Grogan's Short List
By DEPARTMENT Thursday, Jan. 08, 2009
He's the author of the best seller Marley & Me and a new memoir, The Longest Trip Home. Here's what John Grogan has been watching, reading, listening to and harboring fond feelings for. (Oh, and he also went to see that flick about the couple and their crazy dog.)

Emotionalism, by the Avett Brothers I discovered the Avett Brothers while browsing in one of those iconic hippie shops in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district. The album was playing on the store's sound system, and I was instantly smitten. It is impossible not to grin while listening to this infectiously upbeat blend of folk, rock and bluegrass, all played on acoustic instruments and with whimsical, witty lyrics to boot.
